Indiana Roller Hockey League

Here is a really interesting piece that I want to share with everyone.  I currently play at an arena in Mt. Pleasant PA.  It's just south of Greensburg.  I have been talking with the owners of the facility for sometime getting info and guidance in setting things up here.  Last evening before my game we talked and once we get things moving here this summer they would love to play a back and forth game with us and their pro(Inferno) practice squad/B league team.  It would 4 on 4 and would fall under true roller hockey rules(no offsides and no icing) so play would be a little different than what our league functions under but it would be a great building block for what we are trying to do here, and it would be great to see how we can match up against them, they are also looking forward to doing some different things with us to in the future!

If I'm still here when that goes on I'm in for sure.  I haven't played B league for like 4 years but I am always willing to get back in there.  Let me know if they are serious.  We would seriously have to consider who we bring on the bench for that.  B League isn't anything to FK with, only the bigger better players will survive the first period.  If you have never playted B league or against B League it's a COMPLETELY different experience.

They are definitely interested and actually what they would like to do is have our league champ vs their adult league champ but there are a lot of details to work out before that happens-rules and the 4 on 4 thing is an issue of course but thats at least a few months away probably by end of the summer.

I posted it to the news page and didn't really get any response and I know there were a good amount of people that were interested.....so here it is again.  This saturday july 25th Hot Shots Arena in Mt. Pleasant is hosting an Iron Man Tournament.  Its 4 on 4 roller hockey rules with a goalie(no icing and no offsides) its $125 for a team of 5 so $25 a player basically.  Normally they go from the 10 am start till sometime mid afternoon around 4 or so i think.  the winning team gets shirts and a photo op for their website...and some braggin rights i would imagine, you can setup your own teams just trying to get an idea of who is interested so i can let Hot Shots know so they can help us with scheduling and what not.  Also if there are some guys interested and you don't have enough for a team they might have some players or a goalie looking for a team so let me know ASAP if you guys are interested.  Should be a good time and a great way to gauge our talent to who else is out there!
